Our teachers have Qualfied Teacher Status and the appropriate SEN qualifications to ensure that each student reaches their true potential.
We work with local authorities to place specialist online tutors with children with Educational Health and Care Plans (EHCP). Working online allows for maximum flexibility, and our teaching and learning platform ensures seamless delivery of lessons.
All our teachers are DBS and reference checked, and all receive regular training (including safeguarding).

Be My Tutor is a corporate member of the Tutor’s Association, and sets the highest standards for itself in order to ensure that every student and every lesson is at the heart of everything we do.
We are members of the ICO and data protection is always at the forefront of our practice.
Once the student commences his or her tutoring, all stakeholders are sent lesson plans, feedback and half termly reports which are tailored to the student’s individual needs. We attend regular review meetings and have helped hundreds of students to achieve their potential in their mastery of the Key Stage 2, Key Stage 3, GCSE and A Level curriculum.

Autism: Our teachers have knowledge and understanding of ASD/ autism strategies that aim to support all areas of the child’s development.
Dyslexia: our fully qualified teachers have the skills and experience which aim to improve reading, writing and spelling skills as well as associated needs such as processing and working memory difficulties.
ADHD and/or ADD: we have knowledge and experience to help children with ADHD/ ADD access a first class learning.
Behavioural needs and/or demand avoidance/ PDA: we rapidly develop a positive working relationship with every child and adapting lessons to each individual.
Speech, language and communication needs: our teacher have a wealth of experience and skills to help children access learning in different ways, e.g. with visual support.
Dyscalculia: we understand that areas such as Maths can be a challenge and that dyscalculia specialist strategies and ideas should be utilised during the 1:1 sessions.
Dyspraxia: our team of SEND specialists help by implementing dyspraxia specialist strategies and ideas to help their children progress.
Sensory and auditory processing: Tutors working with children with sensory and/or auditory processing difficulties to adapt their teaching to ensure that the environment is suitable for the child.
Social, Emotional and Mental Health: Our teachers who work with children with SEMH aim to develop a trusting and safe relationship
We had a great experience with two fantastic tutors for Maths (Philip) and English (Sophie). They turned a potentially very difficult few months of home schooling on its head.
